Fracture Rehabilitation

Physical therapy after a fracture is the reason why a large number of clients turn to us. The duration of rehabilitation depends on the location, type of fracture, the period that has passed since the fracture, and the current condition. On average, rehabilitation after a fracture lasts 3-6 weeks.

Since immobilization (cast, splint) is required after a fracture, the most common results are reduced circulation and swelling in the area of the fracture, muscle atrophy or deterioration, and reduced range of motion in the area of the immobilized joint.

Pain that occurs after a fracture is often present, and physical therapy effectively reduces pain and restores muscle strength and mobility.

HOW DO WE CONDUCT FRACTURE REHABILITATION IN OUR POLYCLINIC?

Medical lymphatic drainage, which, when combined with electrotherapy modalities (such as electrical stimulation, laser therapy, and ultrasound), stimulates circulation and accelerates tissue regeneration;

Manual therapy, which involves joint mobilization techniques and neuromuscular activation exercises;

The final phase of therapy includes targeted therapeutic exercises aimed at muscle strengthening.

After rehabilitation we can expect:
  • Full range of motion in the area of the immobilized joint;
  • Normal circulation and return of muscle strength;
  • Proper functionality of joints and muscles!
